let’s talk about actual gatekeeping in hollywood, which extends beyond mere nepotism. this episode explores the biggest chicken-and-egg conundrum in the screenwriting field: 

• “oh, you need an agent or a manager to introduce you to a producer” 
• but then, “oops. they won’t want to sign you unless you’ve got a producer interested”
• but “uh-oh, you can never connect with a producer unless you’re in the WGA or have an agent/manager”
• but then again, “you can’t get an agent/manager or become a member of WGA unless a producer is interested in you…”
