On this week’s episode of CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO we’ll be playing music from superhero and comic book film and television scores. We’ll open the show with Henry Jackman’s new score to the brand new Marvel Cinematic Universe film CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR.

Our John Williams album of the week is SUPERMAN IV: THE QUEST FOR PEACE. Williams supplied the film with three new themes while Alexander Courage wrote the rest of the score.

Our re-recording of the week is a recording by the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra called SUPERHEROES conducted by John Morris Russell. We’ll feature three selections; A TV Show Medley, a new concert work called “The Launch (Conduktor’s Theme)” by Pete Anthony and Alan Silvestri’s CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER end credits.

Our video game score of the week will feature Michael Giacchino and Chris Tilton’s unreleased score to THE INCREDIBLES: RISE OF THE UNDERMINER.
