I think this was a good story. I did not like Baker's reading. She is breathy and close to tears, and this is a story about rigidity and repression. The characters are trying to sound tough, and part of the story involves language that is stylized for terseness, and yet Baker is tremulously whispering their lines. I also don't think the accents help, no reader should try accents. Anyway, the ending was so satisfying I think it was still worth it.
