The Federal Aviation Administration says Boeing's 737 MAX 8 jets will remain grounded until all safety analyses are completed.
No timetable was given at a meeting with aviation regulators from more than 30 countries, who are waiting for final FAA approval.
Two fatal crashes in five months led to a global grounding of the plane.
*)US files fresh charges against Assange
The US Justice Department filed over a dozen new charges against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.
The latest charges accuse him of receiving and unlawfully publishing the names of classified sources.
Assange is currently in jail in the UK.
Contest for May’s successor to begin in two weeks
British Prime Minister Theresa May faced immense pressure from her own party to resign over her handling of Brexit.
The deal she made with the EU was rejected by parliament three times.
Her Tory party expects the contest for her successor to begin in about two and a half weeks.
*)Weinstein pays out several women in $44M settlement
Harvey Weinstein will pay $44 million to several women who've accused him of sexual assault, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The deal will not affect his criminal case where he faces charges of rape and other sex crimes.
