Today's world has forced us to search ourselves to be our best. This is a difficult task for some as they have no clue who they truly are. When we are raised in a monolithic environment with no exposure to different ways of life, we tend to think that the world resembles our own. Looking at the world through another's lens is the best way to become a critical thinker thereby making better decisions and living your best life. The Coronavirus Crisis has forced leaders to prove their mettle. The new reality of working from home has hit some leaders like a ton of bricks. Some will come out of this better leaders and some will not be in leadership positions for too much longer. Transactional leadership has its place in some workplaces, but the majority of today's workforce needs leaders to be transformational. The Coronavirus has exposed a lot of leaders who may need to take a class in what it means to truly lead others or step away from their leadership positions. Titles don't make leaders, people do.
Too many times employees stay in a toxic work environment because the employer has brainwashed them into thinking that they should be lucky to be getting paid. NEVER! You should never stay in any work environment that is toxic where employees feel that they can treat you any way they want because they pay the employee. I urge you to reevaluate your work environment; especially while you are working from home because of the Coronavirus, and look to leave if your environment is toxic.
Three questions that people should ask themselves while going through life making decisions. 1. Who's important, 2. What's important to who's important, 3. How do I facilitate getting what's important to who's important? . Doc Rich shares his perspectives on these three things in an effort to help you get through your days in this Coronavirus Crisis.
