Invasion of the Remake is returning to the Wonderful World of Disney with the comedy, family favorite The Absent Minded Professor (1961) and the remake Flubber (1997). The Absent Minded Professor stars Walt Disney legend Fred MacMurray in one of his most memorable roles alongside Nancy Olson, Keenan Wyn, Tommy Kirk, Elliott Reid and Director Robert (Old Yeller) Stevenson. With a line up like that the remake had to really step up. Bringing in legendary screenwriter John Hughes and Director Les (Blue Streak) Mayfield was a good start. But the inclusion of comedy legend Robin Williams with Marcia Gay Harden, Christopher McDonald, Ted Levine, Clancy Brown, Raymond J. Barry, and Wil Wheaton seems like a formula for success.
