There's some records and artists we both admire, enjoy and respect. The greats Dylan, Springsteen, Cash and Petty (but everybody loves Petty, am I right?)are obvious examples. Some of our tastes cross over the generational divide, Rancid, some Green Day, Therapy? Some records chosen have never been heard by the other.You see, one of us (Rob) comes from the tail end of Generation X and pretty much wishes that it was still 1995, when life was easier, his hair wasn't grey and he was skinny, cool and girls liked him. (Some of that might be lies)The other (Sam) is one of those entitled millennials you keep reading about who thinks bands were cool on Myspace and for who downloading music to a computer in your pocket has always been a thing.The albums discussed today give a snapshot of those records we hold dear, those that we feel represent (or did at some point) who we might be or just simply be a bloody great record that everyone should hear.We've committed to making a run of 10 or 12 shows over the coming weeks. If we're still having a blast after that, and a break for the summer, we will come back and do some more. But for now we just enjoying talking rubbish, coming out with cliched opinions, hot takes and sometimes just dismissing the entire works of great artists with barely a pause.
