We have a joint podcast today with Derrick Goold's "Best Podcast in Baseball". News came from left field yesterday that Paul Goldschmidt will sign the largest contract ever for the Cardinals. Goldschmidt has found his home for the next 5 years and likely will retire here. Sources have told Derrick that talks ramped up very quickly this week and very few people had knowledge that this was happening. Listen here for details on how the deal transpired.
