Professor David Hand, Emeritus Professor of Mathematics and Senior Research Investigator at Imperial College London, has published over 300 scientific papers and 30 books, won many prestigious awards and was a president of the Royal Statistical Society twice. During this interview, Professor Hand explains what is dark data and why this simple, but highly influential concept, is widely overlooked.
