Daniels negotiates with Burrell and secures the promise of his own major crimes unit after the Sobotka investigation ends. Sobotka chastises his son and nephew about their unauthorized smuggling deal with the Greeks; he defends his own illicit deals as a means toward regenerating the ailing dockyard. Ziggy continues to enjoy his new-found wealth with a silly jacket and hat combo. Levy subjects Omar to a harsh cross-examination, but Omar quickly turns the tables. After the jury returns a guilty verdict, Judge Phelan sentences Bird to life in prison. Freamon and Prez find a paper trail through campaign finance records linking the union to $70,000 in contributions. Beadie suggests that the union is making extra money by facilitating smuggling through the port. Daniels reassigns Prez and Greggs to focus on the vice trade, and Freamon works with Russell and Bunk looking at container movements. Beadie and Freamon are able to tie the missing containers to Horseface. Kima meets with Shardene for help tracking down Eastern European girls working in the vice trade. She discusses her strip club assignment with Cheryl, who insists on tagging along. A friend of Shardene's tells the detectives that there is a madam who organizes the girls and keeps them at a motel, where they are under guard when not working.  Nick asks Vondas for help with Ziggy's problems with Cheese. Serge then arranges a meeting with Proposition Joe, who agrees to compensate Ziggy for the torched car. Nick, Ziggy, and Johnny Fifty deliver the chemicals in exchange for drugs. Tempted by the additional payoff and Ziggy's pleas, Nick opts to take half the payment in cash and the rest in drugs. After a union meeting, Nick goes to the bar and gives Ziggy his compensation. Ziggy lights a cigarette with a $100 bill, causing Frank to leave in disgust. Outside, he asks Ziggy where he got his money and how he got his bruises. Stringer delivers an envelope of cash to Leech, a contact from Washington, D.C., concerning a contract killing. Brianna visits D'Angelo and tries to persuade him to use Avon's set-up of Tilghman to shave time from his sentence. D'Angelo refuses, reminding his mother that she taught him to stand up for himself. He tells her to let him deal with things on his own and to take the fall for the Barksdale Organization. He then asks her to tell Stringer, Avon and Donette to leave him alone. D'Angelo passes Avon in the corridor and refuses to talk to him. Valchek ensures the press is there to see Sobotka embarrassed in a perp walk. Sobotka agrees to work with the investigation into the Greeks in exchange for leniency for Nick and Ziggy.In the wake of the arrests the Greeks decide to cut their losses and leave Baltimore. Vondas lures Sobotka into danger by offering him a meeting with The Greek and a promise to help Nick and Ziggy. D’Angelo is driven to the Orlando Club - his uncle’s strip joint - by Weebay. We briefly meet Barksdale, and D’Angelo comes across as quite naive. He gets demoted to the low-rises from the towers, and meets his crew, acting the boss. Finally, he sees that the witness “Gant” from his trial has been shot dead. Storyline3: BubblesWe meet Bubbles, who is running a counterfeit money scam with Johnny Weeks - who is “green” and how Bubbles is trying to get “brown”. Once it is ashore, they all recognize the body as Frank Sobotka.The Greek stops pursuing Nick because the police are on his heels, and walks away from Baltimore. Nick talks to the police and positively identifies The Greek. Sergei sings and the police solve the Jane Does.The FBI visits the union hall and tells them that they need to change their leadership or face decertification. The union remains loyal and seals the destruction of their future. Urban reform begins to hit Baltimore as the docks undergo construction.Omar vows revenge against Stringer. They are told to shut down the detail by the end of the week. McNulty and Greggs call to Judge Phelan and he tells Deputy Commissioner off and threatens him with “contempt” for not wanting to run the wire tap for a full 60 days…Storyline 3: Omar Kills StinkumWeebay and Stinkum set out of kill a couple of rival drug dealers and think its going to be an easy take out. Omar has other ideas and ambushes them, killing Stinkum. The Bounty on Omars head goes up to $10k. He takes D’Angelo to see his brother in a nursing home, and stresses how unpredictable life can be.Storyline 2: D’Angelo and the cornerD’Angelo gets a lecture from String about trying to find the snitch. Bodie throws a bottle at Wallace for not being on his guard. He remains outside the warehouse to turn himself in.Nick is the first to learn of his cousin's arrest and after facing the wrath of his uncle, drowns his sorrows in a local park with an old flame.The detail uses GPS technology to its advantage but meets a setback as Valchek turns over control of the investigation to the FBI.Bodie is pleased with the new supply of drugs, but unhappy that Proposition Joe's nephew Cheese is on his turf.
