This week, I look at the fascinating case of John and Lorena Bobbitt, who were responsible for one of the most infamous incidents in the early 1990s. I will look at the events leading up to the famous incident, as well as the aftermath. (As both individuals are still very much alive I can only hope that this doesn't result in a law suit against me)Connect with me on twitter @truecrimeNHOI and Instagram @truecrimenhoiMusic: https://www.bensound.comDISCLAIMER: Absolutely no disrespect is intended to the subjects discussed in this podcast. As podcasters, we have a platform and duty to speak up and call out injustice. In light of the murder of George Floyd, we have come together in solidarity to use our platform to speak up against racial injustice and amplify the voices of black podcasters that deserve more recognition. Racism is prevalent in all industries; from the media who under-report on black victims to the justice system which routinely fails black victims. In this collaborative episode, we document black history and current events with the voices of those who have lived through it.  Special thanks to:  Tasha from Sinister Silhouettes https://linktr.ee/tcbytb Andre and Battle from Bruh Issa Murder https://linktr.ee/Bruhissamurder Serena from Handcuffed Podcast https://linktr.ee/handcuffedpodcast Aaron from True Crime? In 1968 in Scotswood, an impoverished area of Newcastle, a city in the north-east of England, long before Geordie Shore put the city on the map for ‘radgie’ and ‘mortal’ behaviour, fear had taken hold of the working-class residents. The area was full of abandoned and derelict properties, and on 26th May, 4-year-old Martin Brown had been found dead in the upstairs of one such house. The coroner had not been able to find any signs of foul play, and his death had been ruled as natural causes. It was not until 2 months later, when 3 year old Brian Howe was found dead on a remote patch of grassland, known colloquially as the ‘tin lizzy’ that suspicions were raised. It was determined that little Brian had died as a result of asphyxiation, this prompted a review into Martin’s death, and it was found that he too was likely strangled to death. Thank you for listening to my latest episode! Connect with me on twitter @truecrimeNHOI and Instagram @truecrimenhoiMusic: https://www.bensound.comDISCLAIMER: Absolutely no disrespect is intended to the subjects discussed in this podcast. Skylar Neese was in many ways a typical 16 year old American teenager. When she disappeared in 2012, there were many theories about what had happened to her.
