Bromazepam is an intermediate-acting tranquilizer. Doctors prescribe it as a short-term treatment for insomnia. Compared to other benzodiazepines, this drug does not have any antidepressant qualities. In fewer doses, it reduces tension and anxiety. In high doses, its muscle-relaxant and sedative properties appear. A short-term drug that you should not use for more than 8-12 weeks as physical, tolerance, and psychological dependence can occur. If the drug is prescribed for more than six weeks, your doctor should reassess your requirements periodically.
