Is there a solution to cure loneliness? Loneliness comes in many forms job loss, deployment, divorce, death, illness, or moving to a new city. For me, grief was the catalyst. When I was 16, I suffered a traumatic loss that forever changed my life. I found myself alone, lonely. Chronic loneliness is an epidemic. Half of Americans say they feel alone and in Britain, it's 1 in 3 people.  If you have the courage to confess that you're lonely, most people reply with well-intentioned but unhelpful pieces of advice like, “Reach out and connect, make friends, here’s a great quote.”  As if you hadn’t seen the “Just Hang in There” cat poster before.
