Podcast conferences are a great way for newcomers, professionals, and fans to gather, learn, and network, whether that be online or in person. Here are the biggest podcast conferences coming up in 2023.

1) Podfest Expo | January 26-29 | Orlando, Fl and virtual | $99-$1,995

Podfest Expo is a conference that has grown steadily since its founding in 2016. Last year, the conference featured more than 500 speakers and 5,800 attendees.

2) Africa Podcast Day 2023 | February 12 | Virtual | Free

Africa Podcast Day in an annual event highlighting the best podcasting Africa has to offer. The organization’s goal is to share African voices with the world, so the event is online and free.

3) Audio Intelligence Summit | February 15 | New York City, NY | $99

Audio Intelligence Summit focuses on the advertising side of the podcasting industry. This half-day event brings brands, agencies, and publishers together to discuss how audio and audio advertising are being effectively utilized, measured, and optimized to heighten brand awareness and increase ROI.

4) PodFest Cairo | March 4 | Cairo, Egypt | Free

PodFest Cairo

PodFest Cairo is Egypt’s first podcasting conference and is completely free to attend. During this one-day event, there will be a series of panels. They haven’t announced the topics for this year, but last year panels included “Voice and Audio Quality in Podcasts” and “How to Start a Podcast.”

5) Podcast Movement: Evolutions | March 7-10 | Las Vegas, NV | $149-$399

Evolutions, an offshoot from the main Podcast Movement event, features three different “tracks” for different levels of involvement in the podcasting industry: Beginner ($149), Podcasters ($199), and Industry Professionals ($399).

Each track consists of keynote sessions, networking events, and parties.

Past speakers have included the likes of Marc MaronAlex Blumberg, and Earlonne Woods. This year Evolutions features speakers from all corners of the industry, including podcast hosts like Emily and Dedeker from “Multiamory”, and advertisers like Brittany Clevanger from BetterHelp.

6) VO Atlanta Voiceover Conference | March 23-26 | Atlanta, GA and virtual | $345-$549

VO Atlanta is the largest voiceover conference in the industry, gathering voice actors, agents, directors, producers, and resource providers for a weekend of learning, networking, and socializing.

2023 is the 10th Anniversary of the conference, and the keynote speaker is voice actor extraordinaire Debra Wilson.

7) Radiodays Europe | March 26-28 | Prague, Czech Republic | Free to €499 

Radiodays Europe is the meeting point for over 1,300 European radio, podcast, and audio industry professionals. Over the three day event, attendees can enjoy workshops, panels, and networking events.

At Podstock, you’ll hear from seasoned professionals in the podcast industry, interact with other podcasters, get familiar with equipment from podcast gear manufacturers and other company services. To help with the event, the organization enlisted the help of Kevin O’Leary, a businessman who you might know as one of the “sharks” on the TV show “Shark Tank.”

9) The NZ Podcasting Summit | May 13 | Auckland, New Zealand | $91.53

2023 brings the second annual NZ Podcasting Summit for Aoteroa’s podcast producers, presenters, practitioners, and providers (as well as anyone thinking about starting a podcast!). This event about encouraging collaboration, education, sharing, and networking.

10) The Podcast Show | May 24-25 | Londons, England | Price TBD

The Podcast Show is a huge event sponsored by the likes of Spotify, Amazon Music, BBC Sounds, Acast, and more. Industry professionals, independent creators and business leaders will have access to 150 different masterclasses and workshops.

11) Women’s Podcast Festival | June 18 | London, England and Virtual | Price TBD

Content is Queen presents the Women’s Podcast Festival, a one-day festival that unites the global community of female innovators and leaders in podcasting, audio and radio. The program will include live shows, networking, pitching and parties that celebrate the best in women’s podcasting.

12) She Podcasts Live  | June 19-22 | Washington, DC | $160-$439

She Podcasts Live is a conference for women by women, designed to nurture podcast hosts who’ve traditionally been excluded from the podcast market.

The conference is in its 8th year and is continuing its mission to teach independent podcasters how to use technology, master podcasting techniques, and to thrive in a competitive industry.

Blk Pod Festival was founded in 2020, and is hosting their second in person event this year. Over the course of the weekend, the festival will host 80 sessions and 120 speakers designed to connect Black audio creatives, whether you are just beginning your journey or have been in the industry for years.
