Aaron Tang is an expert on the U.S. Supreme Court. Currently, he is a Professor of Law at the University of California Davis.
Tang's work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, The Atlantic, Slate, and USA Today. His first book, "Supreme Hubris: How Overconfidence is Destroying the Court—and How We Can Fix It," was published in 2023.
Tang received his B.A. in Political Science from Yale University. He worked as a youth organizer and as a middle school teacher in St. Louis, then earned his J.D. from Stanford Law School. He clerked for Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson III of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor of the United States Supreme Court. He was an associate for Jones Day in Washington before joining the UC Davis law faculty.
