Abdullah Al-Ouda is a legal scholar who specializes in Islamic law. His research has focused on the role of religious institutions in post-revolutionary Arab countries and the transition to democracy. Currently, he is Senior Director for Countering Authoritarianism at the NGO Middle East Democracy Center. He has advocated for democracy and human rights in Saudi Arabia, and is one of the co-founders of the Saudi National Assembly Party.
