Alan Caldwell Hunter is one of the original five video jockeys (VJs) who hosted MTV when it began in 1981. Currently, he is a host of the SiriusXM Radio channels "The 80s on 8" and "Classic Rewind." He also co-owns the production company Hunter Films with his brother Hugh, and he co-founded the multipurpose office, studio and entertainment facility WorkPlay in Birmingham, Alabama. He also hosted the reality show Looking for Stars on the Starz cable television channel as well as the Encore series Big 80s Weekend.
