Alastair Gordon is an author, critic, editor, cultural historian, producer, and publisher. He hosts, writes, and produces the podcast “Poetics of Place.” He co-founded and is the Editorial Director of the independent publishing imprint Gordon de Vries Studio.
Previously, Gordon was a contributing writer to The New York Times. Before that, he was the architecture and design critic for the Miami Herald, and before that, a contributing editor at the Wall Street Journal Magazine, where he wrote their “Wall-to-Wall” design blog. His work has appeared in Architectural Digest, Vanity Fair, Le Monde, Architectural Record, New York Observer, House & Garden and Dwell. He has published more than 28 books on art, architecture and environment.
