Dr. Amalia G.M. Scannell is a microbiologist and food biotechnologist. Currently, she is an associate professor at the University College Dublin Institute of Food and Health. Scannell's work focuses on the effects of changing food products on the microbial safety of food, and on consumer acceptance and preference on product development.
