Dr. Amira Abdelhamid is director of Research & Monitoring at the European Legal Support Center (ELSC), a London-based organization providing free legal assistance for advocates of Palestine in Europe and Britain. A scholar of international relations and contemporary politics in Egypt, Dr. Abdelhamid was targeted by pro-Israel activists in 2023, leading to her work suspension from University of Portsmouth and subsequent arrest. Charges against her were dropped in 2024.
