Anders Sandberg is a researcher, futurist and transhumanist whose work focuses on the societal and ethical issues surrounding human enhancement and new technology, as well as on assessing the capabilities and underlying science of future technologies. His research includes work on cognitive enhancement and technical roadmaps on whole brain emulation, neuroethics, and existential risks. He analysed how to take into account the subjective uncertainty in risk estimates of low-likelihood, high-consequence risk. Currently, he is a researcher at the Mimir Center for Long Term Futures Research at the Institute for Futures Studies.
Sandberg received his Ph.D. in computational neuroscience from Stockholm University, and is a former senior research fellow at the Future of Humanity Institute at the University of Oxford. He is also a digital artist.
