Anika's research delves into the nuances of both aging and Alzheimer’s disease (AD), with an emphasis on atypical presentations of AD. The workings of the medial temporal lobe, crucial for memory, stand at the heart of her research. To this end, Anika uses multimodal methods, such as various modalities of in-vivo and ex-vivo magnetic resonance imaging, positron emission tomography, and fluid biomarkers.
