Anna M. Sanchez, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, is a Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner. She has over 33 years of experience in healthcare.Sanchez has worked in psychiatry in inpatient stabilization, emergency psychiatry, community mental health, and outpatient clinics. She specializes in depression, anxiety, bereavement, PTSD, military sexual trauma, stress, familial and relationship issues, and transitions in life, especially in service members and veterans.Sanchez currently serves the United States Air Force Reserves with the 94 AW/ASTS (Aeromedical Staging Squadron) at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Nursing Section. She deployed in Korea as a Coordinator for the Sexual Assault Response Program. In the military, she focuses on the mental health of service members who have experienced traumatic events from military sexual trauma and combat trauma that resulted in post-traumatic stress disorder.Sanchez served as an Adjunct Clinical Faculty for Brenau University and Kennesaw State University in mental health and medsurg. She volunteers and collaborates in local veteran groups for suicide prevention and to increase the positive outcomes of military service members.Sanchez received her B.A. in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University and her Master's degree in Family Nursing from Georgia State University.
