Ayla Jean Yackley is a freelance journalist who covers Turkey. Her reporting has appeared in The Financial Times, Politico Europe, The New Yorker, and elsewhere. Before becoming a freelance report, Yackley reporter for Reuters, Bloomburg, and The Associated Press. Yackley received her B.A. in English Literature from Northwestern University, where she worked on The Daily Northwestern student newspaper.
