Belle Boggs is an author and an associate professor of English at North Carolina State University, where she also directs the MFA program in creative writing.Boggs's first book, "Mattaponi Queen: Stories," was published in 2010. Her second book, "The Art of Waiting," was published in 2016, and was a best-seller. Her third book, "For the Public Good: Forced Sterilization and the Fight for Compensation," was published in 2017. Her fourth book, "The Gulf: A Novel," was published in 2019.Boggs's stories and essays have appeared in the Atlantic Monthly, Orion, the Paris Review, Harper's, Ecotone, and Ploughshares.
