Ben Philpott is a political reporter. Currently, he is the Managing Editor at the NPR station in Austin TX. He is also a contributing reporter for the Texas Tribune. Philpott has been covering state politics and dozens of other topics for KUT since 2002. Before that, he was a reporter at WBHM in Birmingham AL.
