Dr. Beth Allison Barr is a historian who specializes in European women, Medieval and Early Modern England, and church history. Currently, she is a Professor of History at Baylor University.Barr's first book, "The Pastoral Care of Women in Late Medieval England," was published in 2008. She is best known for her bestselling book "The Making of Biblical Womanhood: How the Subjugation of Women Became Gospel Truth," which was published in 2021.Barr received her B.A. in History from from Baylor University, and her M.A. in History and her Ph.D. in Medieval History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
