Bram de Maeyer is a Belgian architectural historian and academic whose work focuses on modern architecture, diplomacy, and the built environment of the postwar period. He is the author of *Building for Belgium: Belgian Embassies in a Globalising World (1945–2020)*, published by Leuven University Press in 2025, which examines the architectural, political, and cultural roles of Belgian embassy buildings across multiple continents. De Maeyer’s research situates architecture within broader frameworks of state representation, international relations, and globalization, drawing on archival research, design analysis, and historical context. His scholarly interests include twentieth-century architecture, government buildings, and the interaction between architecture and national identity. Alongside his book-length work, he has contributed to academic research and discourse on modern architectural history through teaching, writing, and research activities connected to European and international institutions.
