Brian Goldstone is an author and anthropologist. His book, There Is No Place for Us: Working and Homeless in America (2025) is told through the lives of five families in Atlanta. It exposes the forces—gentrification, racialized displacement, precarious low-wage labor—fueling a deepening crisis of housing insecurity. As a journalist, Goldstone's longform reporting and essays have appeared in The New York Times, Harper's Magazine, The New Republic, The California Sunday Magazine, and Jacobin, among other publications.
