Caelainn Hogan is an Irish journalist and author.Hogan has been a freelance reporter for The Guardian, National Geographic, The New York Times, and Vice Media. Her first book, "Republic of Shame: Stories from Ireland's Institutions for Fallen Women," was published in 2019.Hogan received her B.A. in English Studies from Trinity College Dublin and her M.A. in Journalism and Politics from Columbia University.
