Carl David talks to host Craig Price about his book about suicide and suicide prevention.
Suicide is an awful thing. Not only is a tragedy for the person who commits the act but the aftermath can destroy families and a leave a wake of pain affecting everyone left behind. What started as a love letter to his father quickly turned into a cathartic exploration of a family surviving suicide. The book, Bader Field: How My Family Survived Suicide, reveals the story of how a family endured struggle and torment after a suicide, and their fight to survive. David uses the book as an outlet to ‘pay it forward’ and help others cope with depression and suicidal tendencies. The author wants for those who are suffering to know that though they may feel lonely, they are not alone.
