Dr. Carl Rhodes is an academic whose research focuses on the effects of the ethical and political environment in which organizations operate. Current projects focus on cultural and gender diversity and discrimination in leadership, and contemporary business practice’s relationship with democracy and justice. Currently, he is Professor of Organization Studies and Deputy Dean Group at UTS Business School.Previously, Rhodes was a Professor at Macquarie University, Swansea University, and the University of Leicester. Prior to his academic career, he was a manager and consultant for Lend Lease, Citibank and The Boston Consulting Group.Rhodes's work has appeared in Organization Studies, Human Relations, The Business Ethics Quarterly, and Gender, Work and Organization. His first book, "The Companion to Ethics and Politics in Organizations," was published in 2015. His second book, "CEO Society: The Corporate Takeover of Everyday Life," was published in 2018. His third book, "Disturbing Business Ethics: Emmanuel Levinas and The Politics of Organizational Life," was published in 2019.Rhodes received his B.A. in Economic and Social Studies from the University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology, and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Adult Education from the University of Technology Sydney.
