Cathy Sweeney is a short fiction writer and teacher from Dublin. In 2022, she was a Writer in Residence at The Arts Council Ireland. Sweeney's work has been published in The Stinging Fly, The Dublin Review, Egress, Winter Papers, Banshee and The Tangerine, and broadcast on BBC Radio 4. Her first book, the short story collection, "Modern Times," was published in 2020. Her first novel, "Breakdown," was published in 2023.
