Dr. Clare Chambers is a political philosopher who specialises in feminist theory, contemporary liberal theory, theories of social justice, theories of social construction, and bioethics. Currently, she is a Professor of Political Philosophy at the University of Cambridge. She is also co-Editor-in-Chief of Res Publica, the journal of legal, moral, and social philosophy.Chambers has published numerous articles and chapters on political philosophy, gender, and bioethics. Her first book, "Sex, Culture, and Justice: The Limits of Choice," was published in 2008. She co-authored the book "Teach Yourself Political Philosophy: A Complete Introduction," published in 2012. Her third book, "Against Marriage: An Egalitarian Defence of the Marriage-Free State," was published in 2017. Her most recent book, "Intact: A Defence of the Unmodified Body," was published in 2022. She was also co-editor of the textbook "The Routledge Handbook of Philosophy of Sex and Sexuality, which was published in 2022.
