Dr. Schwabe is a scholar of German history and culture with an interest in 18th- and 19th-Century Romantic literature and Germanic folk tales. Currently, she is a Professor of German Language and Culture at the Utah State University.
In addition to academic articles, Schwabe has co-edited two textbooks on fairy tales. Her first book, "Craving Supernatural Creatures: German Fairy-Tale Figures in American Pop Culture," was published in 2019.
Schwabe received two B.A.'s in International Business Administration from Germany and the United Kingdom, her M.A. in Teaching Business Education from Georgia College & State University, and her Ph.D. in German Studies from the University of Florida.
