Craig Brewer is an American filmmaker, director, and screenwriter known for his work in both independent and mainstream cinema. Brewer gained critical acclaim with his film Hustle & Flow (2005), which won an Academy Award for Best Original Song. He has since directed films such as Black Snake Moan (2006), Footloose (2011), and Dolemite Is My Name (2019), the latter starring Eddie Murphy.
