Craig William Levein is a Scottish professional football manager and former player. Born on 22 October 1964, he played for Cowdenbeath and Heart of Midlothian, making over 300 league appearances for Hearts and winning 16 caps for Scotland, including participation in the 1990 FIFA World Cup. After retiring due to injury, Levein managed Cowdenbeath, Heart of Midlothian, Leicester City, Raith Rovers, and Dundee United. He served as Scotland manager from 2009 until 2014. Levein returned to Hearts as director of football in 2014 and managed the club from 2017 to 2019. He later advised Brechin City and was appointed manager of St Johnstone in November 2023.
