Dan Hancox is a freelance culture critic who writes about music, politics, gentrification, cities, protest, public space, food, multicultures, social movements, and Spain. He has also edited for The Guardian, New Humanist, openDemocracy and New Statesman, and has helped develop podcasts, TV and radio documentaries.
Hancox's work has appeared in Guardian, Observer, Vice, the New York Times, Frieze, and The New Statesman. His first book, "The Village Against The World," was published in 2013. His second book, "Inner City Pressure: The Story of Grime," was published in 2018.
