Dr. Daniel Holz is an astrophysicist who specializes in black holes, gravitational waves, and existential risk. Currently, he is a Professor at the University of Chicago in the Departments of Physics, Astronomy & Astrophysics, and the director of the university's Existential Risk Laboratory. He is also a member of the Enrico Fermi Institute and the Kavli Institute for Cosmological Physics. He is also the chair of the Science and Security Board of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.
