Daniel Roman is a research editor at WIRED, a role he has held since 2022, supporting the publication’s journalism through rigorous research and editorial collaboration. Before joining WIRED, he worked as a reporter and as a violence prevention educator, experiences that inform his approach to reporting and public-interest journalism. Roman earned a master’s degree from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, where he received formal training in investigative reporting and media ethics. He is based in San Francisco, where he continues to work at the intersection of research, reporting, and editorial accuracy in national technology and culture coverage.
