Jerrold David Friedman is a science fiction author and screenwriter who publishes under the name "David Gerrold." screenwriter and novelist. He is best known for his script for the Star Trek episode "The Trouble with Tribbles."Gerrold has published over 50 books, hundreds of articles and columns, and over a dozen television episodes. His 2002 novella "The Martian Child" won both Hugo and Nebula Awards and was adapted into a film in 2007.
