David H. Freedman is a science journalist and author who primarily writes about science, technology and business, with a focus on health-related issues. Currently, he is a contributing writer at The Atlantic and contributor to Newsweek.
Freedman's work has appeared in Scientific American, Politico, Quanta, Men’s Journal, The New York Times, Discover, Science, The Columbia Journalism Review, Forbes, MIT Technology Review, Self, The Boston Globe, Wired, The Harvard Business Review, The Los Angeles Times, Fast Company, Reader’s Digest, Men’s Health, The Boston Globe Magazine, and U.S. News & World Report. He has published five books. He co-founded and for a while ran an online magazine about global healthcare.
