Isaac is a very funny guy who tells us stories about his adventures to Thailand and how he interacts with the Thai culture. He also enjoys going to the casino frequently and he tells us if there are any advantages to winning in Blackjack or Poker. Isaac is also one of the best Mortal Kombat players in the world and we talk about his playing days and have a fun talk about video games. We have a small discussion on cancel culture and whether it's a good thing that entertainers are being silenced. We of course finish off the episode with another beer review, but we have something special this time where Isaac decides to step up on a beat and freestyle. Miko Simental has been a friend of Alex's for over a decade. He is now married with a year and a half old son and he starts off the show by telling us the story of his child's birth while comparing it to his sister's children. Miko is also a firefighter and he share what it was like for him to battle wildfires for days on end. Alex and Miko obviously have history together and they talk about their high school days by telling stories about their varsity basketball adventures. Miko also brought us one of his favorite beers which we drink throughout the show and eventually it had us talking about some off the wall conspiracy theories regarding Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, Jeffrey Epstein, and Pizzagate. As always, we finish off the episode with a beer review and this time we have Belching Beaver's Peanut Butter Milk Stout. Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/undertheinfluenza)
In this episode, we talk with Dionté Williams. Dionté has just graduated from the University of Arizona this past semester and has been a good friend of Alex's since 7th grade. He brought over some wine and started us off by talking about some of his favorite wines. We transition into talking about video games, then the little we know about investing, and how companies are eavesdropping on us to sell our information to advertisers who are trying to sell back to us curated products based off of the data we freely provide to them by agreeing to their terms and conditions. The bulk of this episode is centered around what it's like for Dionté to be a black man in America. He shares with us his personal stories and what he has learned from it all. We talk about the current issues regarding George Floyd, the Black Lives Matter movement, and more but we dive deeper into the history of racism. We talk about the assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr. and John Crawford, which we draw comparisons to the infamous story of Emmett Till. We also mention what we think may be the origins of racism. And as always, we finish it off with a beer review, Cigar City Brewing's Guayabera Citra Pale Ale. Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/undertheinfluenza)
