David Ring is the Section Chief of the FBI’s Cyber Engagement and Intelligence Section where he leads
the FBI Cyber Division’s private sector engagement and cyber-criminal intelligence missions. Mr. Ring
joined the FBI as an Intelligence Analyst in 2004, and was assigned to the Counterterrorism Division after
completing training at the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA. Prior to joining the Cyber Division, Mr. Ring
served in a variety of capacities in support of the Counterterrorism mission, including as an Intelligence
Analyst in support of multiple counterterrorism investigations to include the 2010 Times Square attack
and the Boston Marathon Bombing
