David Benjamin Wain is an American comedian, writer, actor, and director widely known for directing the feature films Role Models and Wanderlust. He is also known for both creating the Wet Hot American Summer franchise and directing the feature film Wet Hot American Summer and the Netflix series Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, and Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later.
