Derek Beres is an author, media expert, and movement instructor. Currently, he is the Head of Content Marketing and Community at Centered, a columnist for Big Think and Psychedelic Spotlight. He is the host of the EarthRise Podcast and a co-host of the Conspirituality podcast.Previously, Beres has been a reporter and a magazine editor. His work has appeared in MTV, Rolling Stone, Village Voice, Women’s Health, and Yoga Journal.Beres also teaches group fitness and fitness instructors, and he streams on Yogis Anonymous and Yoga Wake Up.His book, "Hero’s Dose: The Case for Psychedelics in Ritual and Therapy," was published in 2020.Beres is also a member of the band EarthRise SoundSystem, and a record producer for Six Degrees Records and Vieux Farka Toure.
