Derrick Beasley is an American interdisciplinary artist, curator, and cultural organizer based in Durham, North Carolina, known for his work exploring Black identity, nature, and collective memory through sculpture, photography, and installation. A co-founder of the Black on Black Project, Beasley has been active in creating platforms that amplify underrepresented voices and foster dialogue around social justice and community empowerment. His artistic practice often incorporates found materials and natural elements, reflecting themes of environmental justice and Afro-futurism.
