Dr. Devorah Heitner is an expert on young people’s relationship with digital media and technology. She is the founder of Raising Digital Natives, an organization that helps parents and teachers to facilitate children's and teens’ engagement with media and technology.
Heitner's book, "Screenwise: Helping Kids Thrive (and Survive) in Their Digital World and founder of Raising Digital Natives," was published in 2016.
Heitner’s work has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, TIME magazine and Education Week.
Heitner has a Ph.D. in Media/Technology & Society from Northwestern University and has taught communication and media studies at DePaul University and Northwestern University.
