Dr. Ben Tertin's storied adventures have taken him around the world, to countless Phish concerts, through addiction and a season of living alone in a small pickup truck. He grew up in Wisconsin, Tennessee, and Minnesota, and then spent 14 years of biblical/theological higher education in Portland and Chicago. He has served as a local pastor in Portland, OR, since 2007, and currently leads a church plant named "Tov Communion." After completing two Masters degrees in theology, biblical languages, and Patristic theology, Dr. Tertin studied New Testament context under Scot McKnight for his doctoral work. He is a storyteller who takes the Scriptures seriously and wants to help listeners envision the real, good life with Jesus.
