Dr. Heather Rally is a veterinarian for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Foundation. She uses her veterinary expertise to expose abuse and neglect in roadside zoos and circuses, coordinate rescues of abused animals, persuade businesses to adopt animal-friendly policies, and push authorities to enforce local, state, and federal laws designed to protect captive animals. She has been involved in many high-profile campaigns, including exposing the cruelty inherent in Argentina's wool industry—which prompted outdoor retailer Patagonia to drop its wool supplier there—and the suffering of marine mammals at all three SeaWorld parks.
